u   The Story of    "God's Conception-Magic Act"

This story is about instantaneous, supernatural, transcendental magic.   It has its origin in antiquity.   It's somewhere between a fifteen-hundred and  eighteen-hundred years old.   Those who propose anti-choice laws want to suppress public discussion about its validity.    Here's why:

When the anti-abortionists use the word “conception,” they are not simply referring to the biology of male and female cells uniting.   They are referring to an additional process -- a process where God steps in and, by an act of instantaneous, supernatural, transcendental magic, transforms every uniting human egg and sperm into a brand new,  never-before-existing, separate, complete, eternal, sovereign, human being.

According to the beliefs of the anti-abortion promoters, it is not the uniting of sperm and egg which creates a new human being, it’s God’s instantaneous, supernatural transcendental magic act.*   Their entire anti-abortion war is based of this unprovable, religious fairytale which has been handed down to them unchanged from men who believed the Earth was flat.   They claim god's supports their assertion that life begins at conception, yet they offer absolutely no proof of that claim.   Their religious claim in not supported by Biblical scripture.    They even deny several Biblical passages that conflict with their claims.  Every single one of their secular anti-abortion laws is based of this unprovable, religious fairytale.

The anti-abortion leaders have declared:

"A human being is his or her earthly physical body."

If you’re like us, we had to ask:  “What’s so important about being or not being our physical bodies?”   Well, here’s the answer we received:   "If a human being is his/her physical body (in the form of a fertilized egg) that God has magically transformed into a new, separate, sovereign, individual, human being at conception, then doing anything to interrupt the life of that egg is, in deed, an act of murder."

On the other hand, if humans are something other than their physical bodies,°  then the egg is merely the seed, the "blueprints," the instructions from which a physical, human body is created out of earth matter.*     That potential, when developed and nurtured, grows into a physical body which becomes the host for a being, for a soul, or as the Christian Bible calls it, a host for the "Spirit."

Obviously, if the physical egg, itself, is not the human being, then what happens to that egg is a personal, private matter^°  and is not an issue for public debate.   

Thus, the appropriate abortion debate is not about whether or not there is a physical body in the womb.   It’s not about whether on not the zygote/ embryo/ fetus is alive, human, and unique.^°   Arguments about these questions are simple smoke screens, because the answers are obvious.   Of course there is a physical body in the womb and of course it’s alive, human, and unique. 

The real question that needs to be answered is:  What is life and where is it?^°   Is life the physical body, itself, or is life in the spirit which inhabits the physical body?   If it’s the body, itself, then abortion is indeed taking a life.   If life is in the spirit, then removing the physical embryo is similar to halting work construction site.   Let’s look more closely at these questions:  "What is life?  Where is it?   When does it begin?"

 u   Nobody Can Prove When  
        an Independent Human Life Begins!

The anti-abortionists have proclaimed that a separate, independent, individual, human being is created by God at every human conception.   They also claim that the fertilized egg, itself, is that newly created human being.

That’s a nice story, but...NOBODY!  Not even the United Sates Supreme Court could find even one lick of factual evidence or any scientific research data to support such claims.   Even the [Roman] Catholic Encyclopedia cannot define what life is, where it come from, what sustains it, or when it begins.

Then based on the above two conception proclamations, [1- God's conception magic act fairytale and  2- A human being is his/her physical body]  the anti-choice leaders go on to say:  “Therefore, life begins at conception; therefore, anyone who interrupts the life of a fertilized egg is a baby murderer; therefore, secular laws should be passed to prohibit abortion.”  

They somehow seem to regularly overlook the fact that their own claims make God, himself, the world’s cruelest and most notorious baby murderer.   (See the section below on this page,  "God Is a Baby Murderer."

The Biologists’ Perspective:

The physical evidence tells us that life on Earth began several billion years ago and has continued uninterrupted ever since.   Life doesn’t begin from non-life anymore.   Existing life just keeps changing form.

When you consider the individual members of a life form such as humans, there are indeed beginnings and endings.   Given the context that life is made up of never-ending, ever-moving, ever-changing cycles of birth, life, and death, the question is:   "Where, in its transition from an integral part of a woman’s body to a breathing baby, does the egg become an independent unit of life separate from its mother?”   Placing a strict, inflexible, dividing line in the cycle of human life can be done only by arbitrary choice.

We also need to examine life-form survival rates.   Fifty to seventy-five percent of all fertilized human eggs spontaneously abort.   It would be ludicrous to think that every biological copy survives to adulthood.   God/nature just doesn’t work that way.   Some life forms produce hundreds of thousand of copies of themselves so that one or two will survive to reach the adult stage. 

The Sub-atomic  Physics Perspective:

The latest evidence from sub-atomic physicists indicates that physical matter is not physical at all.   It's made up of energy.    The evidence raises this question:   “How can we continue to see anything in the physical world as a controlling factor [as first cause]  when the self [the human being] who is making that determination is not physical at all, but is, itself, made up energy?”    (Quote from "What the Bleep Do We Know")

 The following quote from the globally renowned scientist, Max Plank, is a example of the commonly held,  scientific perspective on the source of life and the source of the universe.   He made the following statement as part of his Nobel Prize acceptance speech:

"As a man who has devoted his whole life to the most clear-headed science, to the study of matter, I can tell you, as a result of my research about atoms, this much:  There is no matter as such.   All matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force which brings the particles of atoms to vibration and holds this most minute solar system together.   We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent mind.   This mind is the matrix of all matter."

The Astronomer's Perspective:

The latest astronomical findings indicate that, of all the matter and energy that make up the universe, only about five percent is perceivable to human senses or to present-day, scientific instruments.*    The evidence indicates that what appears to humans as empty space is actually, to use one astronomer's words, "a seething stew of energy and matter."   What do you suppose is in that invisible ninety-five percent of our universe.   Is it possible that our lack on knowledge and understanding could be leading us to draw erroneous conclusions about what life actually is?  If this research continues to be confirmed by additional studies, it will have a profound effect upon our understanding of the nature of reality.

The Human Relationship to God:

Please keep in mind that scientific findings do not destroy or even significantly alter our present, human, intimate relationship with the source we call God.   Like discovering the Earth is round, this new information simply expands life's mysteries  These discoveries do; however, upset the fixed dogmatic declarations set forth by some of our religious organizations -- organizations which have declared their beliefs about reality to actually be reality.

u   On What Do We Base Our Secular Laws?

We know that the anti-abortionists claim He does,  but does God really create a brand new soul every time a human egg and  sperm unite?

There’s no scientific evidence to support such a claim.   It’s not in the Bible.   There is no scriptural support for it.   It is directly contradicted by Genesis 2:7° in the Christian Bible.   It directly contradicts the religious beliefs of literally billions of human beings.   

Its origin dates back into antiquity and has been handed down, (without change)  to present day Christians  from the same people who believed the Earth was flat* -- from the same people who wantonly  murdered Nicholas Copernicus to prove they were right.)

And yet, this fairytale is the core;  it's the foundation;  it's the main justification for passing secular laws outlawing abortion.   Apparently our no-choice friends have forgotten that provable facts and  tangible evidence are the foundations for secular laws, not religious fairytales.   You also might note that, for centuries and up until the anti-abortion war began, "self-sustenance" has been the basis upon which secular law declared a physical body to be an independent life form.

Spontaneous Abortions:   Depending upon which data you believe, fifty to seventy-five percent of all pregnancies spontaneously abort.   Most impregnated eggs never attach to the uterine wall.   They flow out of the woman's body with her menstrual flow.

Where Are All God's Children?   This brings up one really puzzling question:  What do you suppose God has done with all those billions of newly created, but  abandoned and discarded human beings?     They're so small they're almost invisible.   Each one is about the size of a pencil dot on a piece of paper.   God could fit about three billion of them in a container the size of only one newly born baby.   And here He has hundreds of millions of his  newly created humans  being randomly discarded all over the planet every year!

Remember, according to the anti-abortionists, God creates each new human being  as  a physical body every time a human egg and sperm unite.   It doesn't matter where or under what circumstances that union occurs.   Does God collect all these brand new human beings and deliver them somewhere?   Does he just leave them lying all over the place? 

Flushing Children Down the Toilet:   What about the millions of new humans that get flushed down the world's  toilets?   Imagine for a moment what happens to them.   That's a pretty gross thing for a loving God to do to millions of his own children.   Remember now, these are eternal, everlasting human beings who are getting flushed down the world's toilets.   It makes you kind of wonder -- Is god really that stupid or that cruel?  And where do you suppose all these billions of humans are today?   This leaves us with only one possible conclusion:

If the Christian belief in God's conception magic act is actually true, then it is also true that God is the world's cruelest, vilest, most heartless baby murderer.

As we just told you in the section above, when the forced motherhood promoters use the word “conception,” they are referring to  a process where God steps in and creates a brand new, human being.

For reasons the forced motherhood leaders won't tell us,  God proceeds to throw away fifty to seventy-five percent of his newly created, eternal-life humans.   (See the section above:  God Is a Baby Murderer.)   They are washed out of the woman's body with her menstrual blood.  (Millions of God's newly created humans get flushed down the world's toilets.)   Then God throws away another ten to fifteen percent by way of  miscarriages.   And then trashes most of those who do manage to get born because they didn't get themselves wet and blessed by the correct holly man.   And then He condemns a significant portion or those who are left because they aren't good enough for heaven.

If the Christian belief in God's conception magic act is actually true, then it is also true that God is not only the world's  cruelest and most notorious baby murderer, He's also an incompetent idiot.

All this makes us wonder about another possibility:  Is it possible that the anti-abortionist's story about God's Conception Magic Act  is just another no-choice fairytale?   Is it possible that this story belongs in the same category as the stories about the tooth fairy and the Easter bunny?   How many of you would support passing  a strict behavior-control law based on the story about the tooth fairy?   How about a law based on the Easter bunny story?   How about a law based on a Medieval religious fairytale?   

Perhaps, humans beings are not their physical bodies.°    Perhaps the Christian Bible is correct when it says in Genesis 2:7,°   that life comes into the physical body with the breath.   Perhaps the billions of people who believe in reincarnation°   are correct.   Perhaps human beings really are eternal divine beings and not just physical bodies.   Perhaps abortion isn't an act of murder, after all.  Perhaps the zygote (the fertilized egg) is only a blueprint for the making of a human body.   Perhaps an abortion is simply halting work at a construction site.

Perhaps?     Perhaps?   Perhaps?   Questions!   Questions!   Questions!   Lot's of questions and a multitude of possibilities, but not very many fact-based answers.  Lot's of questions and a multitude of faith-based, (fairytale) proclamations with no evidence to back them up.

Wouldn't you think if God wanted a heaven full of "Good Folks," he'd just make a bunch of them and chuck them directly into heaven.   Kind of makes you wonder if God really is that stupid or that cruel.   And where do you suppose the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny°   fit into this story?

How and where do we draw a line in the human life cycle that declares the beginning of an independent human life?   Past claims for that point have ranged from  “at conception”  to  “three months after birth.”    The most logical, the most practical, and the easiest point to measure, is at “birth / first breath.”   Using any other point not only leaves a lot of vagueness to argue about, it also brings with it another sticky question, “Who decides?”  Who chooses?   

Does a woman's body belong to the state?   Is the rule: "My body, the government's  choice."  ---  "My body, pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell's choice."    or is it:  "My body, my choice."

The conception magic story is just one among a dozens or so anti-abortion claims that simply do not make and sense to the reasoning mind.   Did you ever wonder why there is such a vast discrepancy between the factual evidence regarding abortion and the stories about abortion being peddled by the anti-choice leaders?   Here's your answer:   The overwhelming evidence tells us that the anti-abortion war is about money, prestige, and power.°     It's  about  politics..   It's NOT  about   saving babies!*

1)    If you want to know what's really happening regarding any significant political issue, simply follow the money trail.

2)    People always act in a manner they believe is in their own best interest.

Money and self-interest are the answers to our questions.   It's not winning the battles that counts.  It's all the money, prestige, publicity, and political power they gain during the fight.   It's the anti-abortion leaders' way of manipulating, motivating, inspiring, and controlling their followers.   It’s a way for them to stroke their egos,  to attract new followers, and to raise millions of dollars that otherwise would not be available.   Their true intention°   is to  create a Christian Theocracy in America,° with themselves in charge, of course.

Begin by  Using  Fear to Motivate and Controversy to Sell!°     Raise the emotional level by adding in babies, motherhood, and sex.   Top it of  with lies of omission° and a Medieval religious fairytale.°    Stir the pot with despicable behavior°   and what do you have?  --- The ultimate money-maker and consummate political motivator.    You have the present  multi-billion dollar forced motherhood (anti-abortion) war.°    

Perhaps it’s time for Christians to take a stand against the wolves in sheep’s clothing.°    It’s time for the Real Christians take back Christianity.
