Abortion  and Mental Health

Page Summary

One has but to examine The Universal Law of Thought to see the correlation between mental conditioning and psychological well being.    The energy of thought and the energy of belief overpower everything else.   Because beliefs control behavior, the most successful way to control a person's behavior, tell him or her  what to believe.

The evidence clearly indicates that those who oppose abortion rights are peddling guilt.   The post abortion psychological problem known as guilt is the inevitable result of  the mental programming that is being so strongly and so pervasively promoted to the public by those who call themselves as "pro-life?"

The Problem:

Post-abortion Stress is another area where those promoting pro-life  falsely claim moral superiority.    The issue  revolves around a comparison between  psychological health of women who intentionally terminated their pregnancy (inpreterm) as compared to those who carried their pregnancies to birth.   Readers are invited to view a no-choice press release on the issue from an organization called Canadian Physicians for Life ° which indicates better mental health for those carrying pregnancy to birth.   Viewers might also be interested in what scientific studies tells us.°

.

One can see the results, but what is the source of the problem?

Is terminating a pregnancy the source of the problem?   Or are the psychological problems the inevitable result of  the mental programming that is being so strongly and so pervasively promoted to the public by those who call themselves as "pro-life?"

.

.

What does the Evidence Tell Us?

If you had been mentally conditioned to believe that:

"If you have an abortion, you are a baby murderer!"

How would that belief affect your mental well-being after
intentionally terminating your pregnancy
?

.

If you had been programmed from early childhood to believe that:

"You are separate from God.   You are inherently evil.   No matter what you do you can not overcome your inherent evil nature.   You have to follow certain rules to get into heaven.   Terminating a pregnancy condemned you to burn in hell forever."

How would that belief affect your mental well-being after
intentionally terminating your pregnancy
?

.

If you had been programmed from early childhood to believe that:

"Sex is the Devil's playground."   Pregnancy is punishment for defying God and having sex outside of marriage.   If you get pregnant, the only way to redeem your sin-filled, sex-lusting self in the eyes of God is to become a mother."

How would that belief affect your mental well-being after
intentionally terminating your pregnancy
?

(Did you ever wonder why God only punishes women for indiscriminant sex?   What about all males that got all these women and girls pregnant?  Perhaps, in addition to being the world's cruelest and vilest baby murderer, God is also a male chauvinist pig.)

.

If you had been programmed from early childhood to believe in
       the religious fairytale called
God's  instantaneous, supernatural,
       transcendental, conception-magic act

If you have an abortion, you are not only destroying God's work,
you are a baby murderer

How would that affect your mental well-being after
intentionally terminating your pregnancy

   If you were regularly being:

bombarded with ultra-conservative, anti-abortion fairytales,°  and had no other source of information,

How would that affect your ability to make a rational decision about terminating a pregnancy?   And how would that affect your mental well being after intentionally terminating your pregnancy?

.

.

.

The evidence clearly indicates that those who oppose abortion rights
are peddling guilt.

Let's examine this further.

.

 .

What is First Cause:

Of course we have a mental health problem related to abortion!

One has but to examine The Universal Law of Thought° to see the correlation between mental conditioning and psychological well being.    The energy of thought and the energy of belief overpower everything else.   They are first cause in everything humans do.   They are our ground of being.    They create the fundamental context in which we live our lives.    They are  "first cause" in our self-image, in our sense of well-being, and in our vision of who and what we are.

The Law of Thought also tells us that guilt comes out of one's beliefs about an activity and not out of the activity itself.

   Garbage in-  garbage out.

   Fairytales in - fairytales out.

Baby murder in - WHAT ELSE COULD POSSIBLY COME OUT?

.

Bible Law Thought       Bible Law Thought       ...

Here's the Law of Thought in Biblical Terms:

According to your faith shall it be given onto you.

As you sow, so shall you reap.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God,
       and the Word was God.

Ask and you shall receive; seek and you shall find.

Knock and the door shall open.

Whatsoever you desire when you pray, believe that you have it
        and you will have it.

Your faith has made you whole.  [allowed a blind man see]

All things are possible to him who believes.

If you have but the faith of a mustard seed, you can move mountains,
and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

Anything I can do, you can do and more.

The mind is the controller of all of life, including one's attitude and one's sense of well being around terminating a pregnancy.   Here's where to find additional scientific confirmation of how one's mental conditioning affects his/her life:  http://www. brucelipton, com

.

Some Examples       Some Examples       ...

Some Examples:

Let's look at some physical activities and see if there is any guilt related to those activities, and if so, where does the guilt comes from:

In the areas of the United Sates where wild deer roam free, it's common practice each fall for the human males to traipse out into the woods by the thousands and attempt to murder Bamby's daddy.   Do they feel guilty about their behavior.    Hardly!

Thousands of Americans make their living as part of the process that raises, and  then kills cows.   Do these people feel guilty about it?    If some of them do, should we outlaw beef so that these people can appease their guilt?   If they feel guilty about participating in the beef business, they are in the wrong occupation?

Take a hundred deer rifles and go to India, give them to the adult males and tell them to go out and kill the cows that roam freely around India.   What would happen.   They simply would not kill the cows.   Why not?   Because of their attitudes, their belief systems, their programming, their mental conditioning.   So, if one of them did go out and murder some cows and later regretted his actions, where would the post-cow-killing emotional trauma come from?  --  from that activity or the attitude about the activity.

Flawed Evidence       Flawed Evidence       ...

Flawed Evidence:

Those who favor forced motherhood are almost exclusively believers in fundamental Christianity or Catholicism.   Their religious conditioning dominates and controls their beliefs and behavior.   Their religious conditioning  significantly interferes with their ability to hold an objective perspective on intentionally terminating an unwanted pregnancy.

By claiming that the abortion, itself,  causes problems, these people  are ignoring the mental predisposition of those who experience post-traumatic stress after intentionally terminating a pregnancy.    Comparing an adult woman who wants a child, and can care for a child, and who can raise a child in a loving environment with a woman (or teenager)  who  doesn't want a child, who can't care for a child,  and who intentionally terminates a pregnancy is like comparing house cats to mountain loins.  The populations are so drastically different that using one to make claims about the other is all but ludicrous.

.

What is needed is an accurate examination of the pre-pregnancy mental state of each of the two populations.

1)   What is the pre-pregnancy, mental state of the women who want to be pregnant, who want a baby in their lives, who (at the time of pregnancy) want to bring  a child into the world, who can care for a child, and who can raise a child in a loving environment.

2)   What is the pre-pregnancy, mental state of the woman who don't want to be pregnant, who (at the time of pregnancy)  don't want a baby in their lives, who don't want to be burdened with an unwanted  child, who do not have the capacity care for a child, and who do not have the capacity to  raise a child in a loving environment.

Now divide the above two populations by their religious training:

Compare women who have been mentally conditioned to believe that:

"If they have an abortion, they are a baby murderer!"

with those who have not had that mental programming

.

Compare women who have been been programmed
from early childhood to believe that
:

They  are separate from God.   That they  are inherently evil.   That no matter what they do they can not overcome their inherent evil nature.   That they have to follow certain rules in order to get into heaven.   That terminating a pregnancy condemned them to burn in hell forever.

with those who have not had this mental programming

.

Compare women who  been programmed from early childhood to believe that:

Sex is the Devil's playground.   That pregnancy is punishment for defying God and having sex outside of marriage.   That if they get pregnant, the only way to redeem their sin-filled, sex-lusting self in the eyes of God is to become a mother."

with those who have not had that mental programming

.

Compare women who  been programmed from early childhood:

To believe in the religious fairytale calledGod's  instantaneous, supernatural,  transcendental, conception-magic act.  ****    That if they have an abortion, they are not only destroying God's work, they are  baby murderers

with those who have not had that mental programming

****  http://www.choice101.com/17-conception-magic.html°

.

   Compare women who been  regularly:

bombarded with ultra-conservative, anti-abortion fairytales,°  and have had no other source of information,

with those who have not had that mental programming

.

For each population, ask:

What is the age of the women or girl at the time of pregnancy?

Was she married or single at the time of pregnancy?

What were her goals and intentions prior to becoming pregnant?

What were her goals and intentions when she learned she was pregnant?

How did her pregnancy alter her life's goals and intentions?

What prompted her to seek an abortion or to carry the fetus to term?

Was she pressured, coerced into having sex?

.

Does the woman believe that she is mature enough to be a mother?

Does she have a predisposition of depression?

Does she have a predisposition of suicide?

Is she or has she been a heavy drug user?

Has she been mentally indoctrinated with the Christian guilt (described above)?

.

The bottom line question is what causes post-abortion mental stress?   Is it the physical act of intentionally terminating an unwanted pregnancy?
       or
Is it the result of pre-pregnancy metal conditioning , compounded by the conditions and circumstances of the unwanted pregnancy.

And one might also ask, "What affect does all the right-wing, media-peddled, religious  hype have on the mental well being of the women who terminate their pregnancies?   What affect does social condemnation of abortion have on the woman's mental health?

Readers are directed to the section titled:    Japanese Women

.

Let's seek and find the truth!   The bottom of the bottom line will almost certainly be:

1)   Abortions do not cause post-abortion stress.

2)   Pre-pregnancy mental conditioning ( i.e. guilt, etc.)   cause post-abortion stress.

Conversation With God         ...

Quote From:  "The New Revelations, A Conversation With God"

"Radical forces within your societies have always sought to change things by using the power of thought, not action, for they  know that thought produces action.   Get a person thinking a certain way and you can get a person to act a certain way.   It's not easily done the other way around.

"Take killing for example.   You can rarely get a person to go out and kill another person simply by telling him to do so.   You have to give him a reason.  And "reason" exists only in thought.   And thought is always based on belief.   So if you want to get one person to kill another, the fastest way to do that is to give him a belief that supports the action and sponsors it. . .
